What I do for you
Working towards a career in the Fire Service has its challenges and many steps to
navigate along the journey. It can be a daunting experience to traverse alone, and it does not need to be that way. I offer support and guidance in all areas of Firefighter hiring process steps from:
• Resume/Application Screening
• Interview Preparation
• Physical Assessments
• Ride-Along’s
• Medical Screening, to the day your hired
• Consulting/Coaching and Mentorship
Every person is unique and I will work closely with you to customize any one of these services to best suit your needs and wants if that is desired. For example, a “fire side chat” discussing culture and what to expect along the way might be just what you need in that moment.

Candidate Interviews And More
I will always work hard to support each person based on their own personal attributes, life experiences and skill sets. During our time together we will identify your strengths and weaknesses and how to present the best version of yourself during all stages of the hiring process and especially during the Interview.

Interviews, Written Exams, Physical Assessments are all skills that need to be repeated and rehearsed in order to successfully achieve your goals. Don’t forget your Resume too! A common mistake made by Candidates is assuming something, and or just taking someone’s well meaning but inaccurate advice, about how best to prepare without doing your own due diligence. With consistent effort, your confidence will greatly increase, with anxiety and stress decreasing.
Approximately 30% of Candidates are unsuccessful in their first Fire Interview. As already mentioned, the key is to PRACTICE and PREPARE for this critical step so you will move forward in the process. Not just move forward, but score high enough to keep your dream department interested in hiring you!

The goal of your Interview is to separate yourself from your competition, with the ability to smoothly articulate your life experiences, work skills, teamwork, emotional intelligence, values, beliefs and critical thinking abilities etc., Leaving the Interview panel believing you’re the best “fit” for their Department and Community. Bringing your “authentic and true self” to the Interview table and all hiring process steps will serve you well along this exciting journey.
